Skills Required:
- Extensive experience of designing and implementing Solaris solutions, including virtualisation, in a large and complex environment is essential. In addition good knowledge of a number of the following technologies will be a distinct advantage.

Overview
As a Solaris Specialist you will be responsible for designing technical solutions and managing the delivery of Unix based projects.
You will ensure that development of the Client's UNIX estate is fit for purpose and done in accordance with industry best practice.
The Solaris Specialist will also assist project managers to deliver strategic projects and take responsibility for the delivery of all technical aspects whilst ensuring all technical documentation is maintained.
You will also be both a reviewer and approver of documentation handed over from development to support teams.
You must keep abreast of new Unix technologies, understanding their relevance to our Client's business.
You will create improvement proposals for review and potential implementation.
This role may involve managing others, either on a permanent basis or as part of a project team, in which case you will be responsible for supervising workload and scheduling.
